Storage Costs

How much does it cost to use your storage facilities?

Our costs are very competitive and start at only £19.95 per week for a 400 cu ft unit.

Do I pay weekly or monthly?

You pay monthly in advance by standing order.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes. You will be asked to pay a 1 month deposit when you enter into the storage contract. This deposit is refundable.

What is the minimum length of time I can have storage for?

1 (one) full month is our shortest contract term.

Do you give discounts for long term storage?

Yes we run regular promotions - check out our advertising campaigns and this website for details.

How much notice do I have to give when I want to cancel?

We require 1 (one) full month's notice in writing.

Access and Security

How often can I access my storage unit?

Access to your unit is available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Are there any limitations on accessing my unit?

No. You can come and go as often as you like.

Do I need to supply a padlock for my storage unit?

Yes. You will need to supply a secure padlock that meets the requirements of your insurance policy.

Can anyone else gain access to my unit?

No. You are the key holder to your unit. No one else will be able to get access to your storage unit.

Do you keep a spare key for my padlock?

No. You are the key holder so it is advisbale to have a spare set of keys at your home or at the office.

Are there any limitations on accessing my unit?

No. You can come and go as often as you like.

General Questions

Do I have to provide my own insurance?

Yes. As values of stored goods vary from client to client you will have to provide your own cover. Your insurance broker will be able to advise you on what type of policy you will need.

Can I drive up to the the door of my unit?

You can drive up to the loading bay of the storage building and unload in the dry and your unit will be just a few yards from the loading bay.

Do you provide a trolley at the store?

Yes, we provide a trolley for your use to make moving heavy items to your unit easier.

Can I increase the size of my storage unit?

Yes but you will have to contact us first to find out if we have a larger unit available. We will advise you at that time what the extra cost of the unit will be.

I don't have any boxes. Can you help me with packaging materials?

Yes. New Forest Self Storage can sell you boxes, bubble wrap, tape etc. Please contact us for details.

Do you provide shelving for my unit?

No. If you need shelving you will have to provide this yourself. The shelving must be free standing and not attach to the storage unit walls in any way.
